Post 41 - Top 10 Wide Receivers of 2015

Hello! And welcome to my corner!

In the coming weeks I'll be revealing my top 10 at each position and eventually my top 100 players in the NFL. Unlike the traditional rankings, though, I'm basing these rankings entirely on the 2015 season and the 2015 season only. Not looking further than that and without influence from their name alone.

I got this series underway when I revealed my Top 10 Kickers and Punters of 2015 back in May. I've now unveiled the SafetiesCornerbacksInside LinebackersOutside LinebackersDefensive EndsDefensive TacklesOffensive Lineman and the Tight Ends.

Now we have arrived at the most exciting positions, and to kick it off, here are my Top 10 Wide Receivers of 2015:

10. Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos
105 Receptions (Rec), 1304 yards (Yds), 6 Touchdowns (TDs).
Demaryius Thomas managed to slip under the radar a little last season thanks to everything else that was happening in Denver, but he still managed to have a very good year. Despite playing with two average-at-best QB's all year, he still put up the numbers as he always does and was still the same-old matchup problem.

9. Jarvis Landry, Miami Dolphins
110 Rec, 1157 Yds, 4 TDs.
Landry may be one of the most underrated receivers in the NFL. Yes, he plays in a fairly poor offense in which he is the only real playmaker. And yes, his system gives him a lot of production, but he shows up every week. He is also a great punt returner and leader, which are bonus points.

8. Doug Baldwin, Seattle Seahawks
78 Rec, 1069 Yds, 14 TDs.
Nobody would have expected Baldwin to have the season he did, literally no-one would've predicted he be tied for the lead in receiving touchdowns. That alone is enough to put him on this list but his play style and impact on this teams offense makes it an easy decision.

7. Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals
109 Rec, 1215 Yds, 9 TDs
Larry Fitzgerald was the star on a truly great Cardinals team and he cashed in on that talent as he had the best year of his career. Not only was he still dominant as a pass catcher, he was possibly the best run blocker on this time outside of the offensive line. Playing a mixture of slot and wide-out he was truly great.

6. Allen Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars
80 Rec, 1400 Yds, 14 TDs.
The Jags offense was great last year on the back of their trio of young stars: Blake Bortles, Allen Hurns and this guy, Allen Robinson. Robinson was a true number 1 receiver for the jags last year. He was dynamite in the red zone, was mismatch on deep balls and a safety blanket for Blake Bortles.

5. Brandon Marshall, New York Jets
109 Rec, 1502 Yds, 14 TDs.
Brandon Marshall was a huge reason for the Jets success last year. He was probably the key cog for Fitzpatrick to have the season that he did thanks to his ability to work any area of the field against pretty much any cornerback. He cemented his spot among the top receivers ever last year.

4. Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants
96 Rec, 1450 Yds, 13 TDs.
It's amazing that Beckham has the numbers that he does having never played 16 games in a season, and that us a testament to his talent. He remains the only quality receiver on this team and that makes it more incredible, as he receives all of the attention for the defense. His antics are well worth the on-field product.

3. DeAndre Hopkins, Houston Texans
111 Rec, 1521 Yds, 11 TDs.
Hopkins is well on his way to being in the conversation to be the best receiver in the NFL thanks to his 2015 season. His numbers are astronomical and what makes them even more jaw-dropping is the fact that they came from 4 different QB's, none of which are what I would call good, probably competent at best.

2. Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers
136 Rec, 1834 Yds, 10 TDs.
It should come as no surprise that Antonio Brown had record breaking numbers again. In Pittsburgh stellar offense he is the best player and he has unbelievable chemistry with Ben Roethlisberger. He is a lock for 110 catches, 1500 yards and 8 touchdowns now and is in the middle of the one of the best couple of years for a player ever.

1. Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons
136 Rec, 1871 Yds, 8 TDs.
Julio Jones is above Antonio Brown for one reason and one reason only; he is virtually the only good thing on his team and he has no help. Teams could double team or even triple team Jones and he would still be their biggest problem. He also has a knack for coming up big, just look at his catch to win against the then undefeated Panthers.

There we have it, my Top 10 Wide Receivers from the 2015 NFL season. What do you think? Think I've got it right or am I completely wrong? Let me know!
