Post 37 - Top 10 Defensive Ends of 2015

Image
Hello! And welcome to my corner! In the coming weeks I'll be revealing my top 10 at each position and eventually my top 100 players in the NFL. Unlike the traditional rankings, though, I'm basing these rankings entirely on the 2015 season and the 2015 season only. Not looking further than that and without influence from their name alone. Earlier this month I got this series underway when I revealed my  Top 10 Kickers and Punters of 2015 . I've now unveiled the  Safeties , Corner ,  Inside Linebackers  and Outside Linebackers , and I'm now onto the defensive ends. Without further ado, then, here are my Top 10 Defensive Ends from 2015: 4-3 DE’s 10. Jabaal Sheard, New England Patriots 37 Combined Tackles (Comb), 8 Sacks (Sck), 4 Forced Fumbles (FF). Having been unable to make an impact for any team in his short amount of time there, Sheard did exactly that last year as the Patriots secondary pass rusher. Not only are his 8 sacks and 4 forced fumbl...

Without further ado, then, here are my Top 10 Outside Linebackers from 2015: Only 3-4 outside linebackers have been considered for this ranking. 10. James Harrison, Pittsburgh Steelers 40 Combined Tackles (Comb), 5 Sacks (Sck), 5 Passes Defensed (PDef), 1 Interception (Int), 2 Forced Fumbles (FF). Although Harrison only played a limited role for the Steelers, Harrison still showed the...

Without further ado, then, here are my Top 10 inside linebackers from 2015: I've classified and 4-3 linebacker and 3-4 inside linebackers as inside linebackers.  10. Dont’a Hightower, New England Patriots 61 Combined Tackles (Comb), 3.5 Sacks (Sck), 2 Passes Defensed (PDef). The Patriots defense has started to move back to its formerly dominant self that saw them win 3 Super Bowls in 4 years, and Hightower is a big...

Hello! And welcome to my corner! Earlier this month I got my newest series underway when I revealed my  Top 10 Kickers and Punters of 2015 . I've now unveiled my Top 10 Safeties of 2015 , so now it is time for the cornerbacks. In the coming weeks I'll be revealing my top 10 at each position and eventually my top 100 players in the NFL. Unlike the traditional rankings, though, I'm basing these rankings entirely on the 2015 season and the 2015 season only. Not looking further than that and without influence from their name alone. Without further ado, then, here are my Top 10 Cornerbacks from 2015: 10. Ronald Darby, Buffalo Bills 63 Combined Tackles (Comb), 23 Passes defensed (PDef), 2 Interceptions (Int).  If not for Marcus Peters' insane Int production, Darby could've been well in contention to be the best rookie cornerback last year. Playing next to Stephon Gilmore, Darby was more than capable of holding his own. The future looks bright for the Bills...

Hello! And welcome to my corner! Earlier this week I got my newest series underway when I revealed my Top 10 Kickers and Punters of 2015 . Next up in this series is the safeties. In the coming weeks I'll be revealing my top 10 at each position and eventually my top 100 players in the NFL. Unlike the traditional rankings, though, I'm basing these rankings entirely on the 2015 season and the 2015 season only. Not looking further than that and without influence from their name alone. Without further ado, then, here are my Top 10 Safeties from 2015: SS: Strong Safety, FS: Free Safety 10. T.J. Ward, Denver Broncos, SS 61 total tackles (Comb), 2 sacks (Sck), 2 forced fumbles (FF). Since leaving Cleveland, Ward hasn't stood out in the same way thanks to the uber-talent surrounding him in Denver. Despite not enjoying much of the limelight, though, Ward's impact hasn't diminished. He's decent in coverage but is an absolute missile coming down from the safety...

Post 32 - The Top 10 Kickers and Punters of 2015

Hello! And welcome to my corner! Barring my Mock Drafts , I haven't done anything on here for a long time. Too long, in fact. Couple that with the fact it's the offseason, I figured this is the perfect time to get into a new series or articles. And what better than positional rankings? In the coming weeks I'll be revealing my top 10 at each position and eventually my top 100 players in the NFL. Unlike the traditional rankings, though, I'm basing these rankings entirely on the 2015 season and the 2015 season only. Not looking further than that and without influence from their name alone. Without further ado, then, here are my top 10 kickers and punters from 2015: Kickers: 10. Matt Prater, Detroit Lions Prater went 22/24 on field goals this year, with a long of 59-yards1409. He also went 36/39 on the new, longer PAT's. Prater continues to show off one of the stronger legs in the NFL and is still, evidently, one of the more accurate kickers in the NFL. H...
